I was damn surprised J50 lasted for about 30k for me. considering my dad, who drives like a snail, could skid twice on that tyre, on dry road.

For the average non-performance tyres, 30+KM is a typical milege to get the tyres changed so that is hardly surprising.

Changed my tyres at about 13K, and upgrade rims. No..no stock tyres no good. Good for pt A to pt B driving. Just that want more stability and normally highway drive around 100 - 110 km/hr. Also quite good value to trade in my stock offered by the tyre shop.

I noticed that most forumers gave feedback that the stock Toyo J50 tyres "cannot make it"?

"Cannot make it" in what sense?

Mine has been serving me well for 20,000km with some hard cornering and I travel at 100km/h on the highway.

No complaints about this tyre.

agreed with vortex.

for my case.. after driving abt 2-3k.. i decided to change to falken 912...

toyo J50 does not seem to have good grip even on dry weather.

fyi, i do not speed.

i juz minding my own biz why the others all cut me
they change lane don use signal & they always challenge me

I have Emergency braked and activated the ABS several times, and I find the stock Toyo J50 tyres do their job well.

Upgraded to second hand light weight 17" with PP2 tyres after 10K mileage, stock J50 just scare me out of daylight with skidding on dry surface occasionally. Secondly have to pump everyweek coz look like "punchek".

I am very concerned how your stock Toyo tyres could skid on a dry surface when there is ABS.

I have never experienced any skid even during a heavy downpour like this morning. My mileage is now over 20,000km.

Could it be your tyres were under inflated?

Or did the skid occur when you were tracking in Sepang etc?

Or did you executed an aggressive cornering at high speed above the legal limit?
