Anyone has this problem? I told the service center when I send it in for my 30k servicing, they told me sensor spoilt and whole unit has to be changed at a cost $100. Damn piss, my car only 1.5yrs old, my current M3 at 2 yrs and previous altis @ 3yrs old also never had such problem....really lousy lei...

I also have the same problem - our sensor is not so good.
Sometimes it gives a continous beep when there is nothing near, sometimes abt to kiss backside leow and yet no continous beep.

Anyway I don't rely on the sensor much.  I always turn my head back to check before reversing and open side door to look behind the old fashioned way when parking.    :w00t:

i ever have this problem of reverse sensor beeping irregularly after a certain polishing session.
- check the 2 sensor point at your rear bumper, you will notice that there is a little protruded dot at each sensor, the dot should be at the bottom of the reverse sensor.
that time i check realise one of the dot at the middle, so i just slide it back to the bottom and everything okay, i guess the polisher too good liao, polish so hard till my sensor move position  :D.

always good to check by your own than having the reverse sensor do the job tho... =)

Mine already haywire at times, but I dun really bother about the sound since I always check behind on my own.
Best is to open the door and check. Unless you have the reverse camera, then you are safe.

True la. Mine is on and off, so I decided to do it manually and be more vigilant when reversing. Hah!
Sometime when the sensor beep non stop, I'll just change the N first, then R, and it is ok.

hahaha

Good morning.

Did u polish your car lately? If yes, probably the polish residue was not clean thoroughly and might have interfere with the reserve sensor judgement. I had the similiar problem b4 and it was solve at tc with some cleaning up.

Good morning.

Mine also intermittently. But once i kanna the long beep, usually it wun go away, even if i go back to N then R again. OFF ON engine will help sometimes. I also open door and see now, dun change unnecessary. if really need to change, then go outside installer change a better one instead of going back to TC?

Or for about the same price, rather pay for a reverse camera?
