when u change gear from reverse to D. or vice versa

yes definitely must.....to prevent accidental shift.....did experience my daughter leg accidentally shift from D to N while i was going up mscp....got a shock why loud engine noise but no power...then realise gear was at N..... ;D

Yes. Must press the lock button when shifting from R to D.  But no need press the lock button from D->N or N->D.  It is a good practice not to press the button while shifting between N and D to prevent accidently shift to R.

haha, & i thought only my naughty little terror boy will do that, i got a big shock too  :D
