Brakepad and fan belt quote
« on: April 07, 2010, 02:37:10 PM »
Hi All,

I was quoted from a workshop the price of OEM brakepad $130 and fan belt at $65. Labour $30. Prices are before GST.
Is this quote fair?

i think original brakepad is 135 and fan belt 75 from autosaver.  Ask them to waive off labour charge if u do service there.

I change mine at 86000km. Normally the mechanic will check for you when you bring the car in for servicing. Mine's totally worn out liao  :D

My brother-in-law recommended me his mechanic and he change an original Nissan brake pad at $125, fan belt at $45 and install spring stiffeners for $75, labour $30. Job well done. I'm satisfied with his service.

Hi,
Thought of getting spring stiffer too.
Can PM the workshop you went to change.
The price should be for 4 sets (for 4 suspension), rite?
Thanks

The price is for 2 rear springs. I check with autobacs before, they charge $95 for the rear. Will pm you the number. Tell him sharon introduce you, the black latio sports who came in yesterday.

Bro yours still under warranty? I had mine changed on 30K but instead of soft I changed to the hard type. Found with the soft one once 3 passenger seat at the back, back will sink down and exhaust always hit the kerb. No such problem after the change.. ;D
