Fuel Dial Gauge
« on: May 08, 2010, 11:49:05 PM »
There seems to something wrong with my fuel gauge. Each time after filling up full tank, even at times of petrol overflow, my dial gauge seems to be registering a few bars below the full tank indicator. After a few days, the dial gauge will go up and indicate full tank. Then, will fall drastically down to a few bars the next day or after several days. Brought once to Nissan Service Center, but they claimed working as per normal (as usual). Anyone has the same problem? Thx!

hi.. I have the same problem too. checked at TCM and was told its working fine..
Friend say it would be due to air trapped inside.. try shaking your car when you pump..

hey guys, what coincidence. Just gave Tan Chong to service my fuel gauge last Sat. Pump full tank, needle stay at 3/4, then slowly rise up and sometimes never. TC serviced and said they changed the float in the rear fuel tank. But the guys in UBI did not connect back the sensor connector...end up always at E with light on even when pump full tank. Just returned and got back toady...now everything fine...

They didnt stop you for a thorough check meh? They might suspect you have tamper your fuel gauge. Anyway, did you physically see the xray machine in the checkpoint? haha... jsut wondering how can they know if your fuel gauge is tamper (other than those idoit put the remote control in the open area for the immigration to spot) :yehyeh:
