Kenny, any lamp with tinted different color that LTA allowed is illegal. You better take it off before Inspection.

I think Angel Eye also allowed. As long as no HID kit attached. :D

Hi,

Taken from:
http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/modifications_and_vehoffences/modification_guide/modification_not_allowed.html#MainPar_0036

Vehicles should only be fitted with factory fitted HID lamps as they are designed to meet internationally recognised standards. Aftermarket HID lamp kits retrofitted into existing headlamps may cause unwanted glare when used. Therefore, installation of these kits are not allowed.

With effect from 1 January 2010, LTA will require all newly registered vehicles, except motorcycles, fitted with HID headlamps to be equipped with an auto-levelling feature.

All vehicle lamps must meet internationally recognised standards. Tinting or masking of these lamps is not allowed as it may adversely affect their performance.

100% agree. But Angel Eye is not HID lamps leh. So, can use back normal halogen bulb for your Angel Eye then pass inspection?

May i propose since Bro #nakshire is selling HID at the forum  :devil2:, how about engaging his exclusive service to remove & assembly back the HID light prior to before & after LTA inspection at a cost deem reasonable for both parties?  ;D

Removing of hid n replacing back the normal halogen bulb is small job for me,what i mean is the aftermarket headlamp which is angeleyes with projector ball...Wonder can pass anot if I just change back to halogen without changing the headlamp.

NSMAN:Now reli very strict after the case on bride of inspection centre inspector la,if not i won't have to go through some much hassle. :D

Kenny, the projector at the angeleye is not design for HID. It still using H7 halogen bulb, I'm very sure. They mention very clearly regarding install a "aftermarket HID lamp" is not allowed if it doesn't meet the "Internationally recognised standards". If you take out your HID and put back halogen bulb, your angeleyes is ONLY an "aftermarket headlamp".. As I know, some cars original come with projector lens but not HID lor. Cheers

Nissan NV200 and mostly Volkswagen cars are using black-based headlamp.  :devil2:
Tell inspectors that you make your housing to black-based is to reduce the glare lor.  :D
If aftermarket headlamp can not pass the inspection, the aftermarket taillamp also can not pass inspection liao...  :D

p/s: If i am not mistaken, the glass of your angeleyes is printed with SAE(http://www.sae.org/) symbols.

Think is due to the headlight angel cos the lamp we bring in is from taiwan n they belong to left hand drive n therefore will shine against driver that is opposite us.As for tail lamp is bro kyorei said he passed his inspection with that tail lamp lor.

I start wondering either you check the light pattern of your angeleyes properly or not. It will not glare/shine against driver that is opposite us lor. Tonight, find a flat wall in the MSCP, open your low beam (as Inspection no checking on high beam and fog light), see the like pattern of your angeleyes.

you suppose to see your angeleyes low beam light pattern is like below:
\__\__  <-- this glare people on your left hand side

if you want to shine people from opposite..i think you need to mode the cut off point like this
__/__/   <-- this glare people on your right hand side

Unless you aim your headlight to shoot the bird on tree...then use stock headlamp also will fail inspection. :)
