Go TCM to Check & reset ECU, or DIY apply to 10 sec rule

Steps to reset our Latio ECU, many lation sucessully reset before, i haven't try yet, but my friend did it for me, it works.

If you worry, best to go TCM or Autosaver workshop to reset it, they have proper OBD2 tools to do the job.

hwlee is very kind, called me and told me everything slowly. So I'm gonna share the love to everyone else.

For those who have tried many times and still failed, try this method. It took me 2 tries with this method!!!

Things needed for ECU reset: a good watch.

1. switch off aircon, radio whatever, then switch off engine. wait 1 min or more.
2. using analogue watch with seconds, when second hand strikes 12.....
3. turn ignition 'ON', the 2nd latch. the SES will be lit. Don't worry, you are on the right track.
4. Once it hits the 3rd second, immediately press in and release accelerator 5 times all the way fast fast. (How fast? sing the ABC song's tempo: A,B,C,D,E!) - never mind if your car shakes damn hard during this step. It is supposed to shake!
5. wait out, check the watch, when it hits 15th sec, quickly press in pedal all the way and hold it.
6. look out for watch, when it hits 25th sec, your SES should be blinking randomly, and then come to a steady light.

>>>> If SES doesn't blink, switch off everything. wait 30secs and try again from step 2. Now you will understand how precise these timings are. Quickly means quickly!

7. once reach steady light, count 3 secs by yourself, release pedal.
8. wait for about 10 secs, switch off everything, start engine.

End of procedure.
