Front Suspension Cover Cracked
« on: December 25, 2010, 02:54:44 PM »
I'm not too sure what's the part called, but the black housing that covers the front suspension, mine cracked and everytime i go over a hump there's a "thump" noise. I can see that the crack is on the top portion of the whole black cover

Checked with TCM and they quote me $200++ for a pair

Anyone had theirs replaced recently (not from TCM)? Care to share the cost?

Also, if i were to for example change my shock absorbers to KYB, does it come with the housing as well?

Just changed at Autoaid 3 days ago.
Mechanic say go thru hump to fast, i'm guilty of that looking back.
Changed together with KYB absorber with mounting and rubber bump $500+.
The absorber don't come with the cover.

Got mine changed at Auto Aid today. Seems like they've got the cheapest price. Good service too
