Air Con controller mode faulty
« on: December 30, 2010, 08:03:09 PM »
Hi Bros n Sists, jusy became a new owner of a used Latio. Been having problems with my air con mode button. I can't seem to control the air con vents, on good days air will be coming out from the center vents-nx to the audio player, on bad days air will come out from the leg area n the windscreen area causing it to fog up, n the other vents-nothing! Anybody experiencing this problem n whats the remedy?
Thanks for the replies  ::) ::)

check on the air con display, the "mode" is to control the air coming from different area.

i think it is due to removing the panel without switching off the air con .. i encounter this the other time when i was diamantling a latio to remove some stuff... the solution i applied is off the air con and remove the panel n pull out the two socket behind and plug it back and it works.... hope it helps

The mode shows everything normal, with the arrow pointing at the figure but the air is coming from the leg and windscreen. It stays like that n i have no control over the air coming out. As i keep pressing the mode, the arrow displays like normal, moving from the front, the leg etc...but the air is stuck at the leg n the windscreen. maybe the electronics controlling the vents kaput.......? Help anybody...?

Hi skullcap,

Sorry for the late reply.

If your ride under warranty (within 3yrs or 100K, whichever comes first), send in to Tan Chong to take a look. When I was servicing at Tan Chong Bukit Timah, I looked for Steven Tay.

If not, if you prefer a Nissan specialist to look at it, you may want to consider Autosavers (am servicing my car there).

rgds

Hi Bros,
My air con controller mode fixed ord. Sent car to TC@ubi. Bro Alongohek, when i saw ur reply last nite car ord in w/s @ ubi but will keep ur advice handy. Had to leave car overnite coz they cannot find problem. Finally collect car just now n they say problem was wiring. The problem wth getting pre-owned cars are you find out more things as you drive the car longer. In my case I found a shocking fact. The distance travelled is not what it seems....by way a loooooottt  :scared: :scared:
Just to remind bros out there if planning to get pre-owned vehicle check carefully before commiting. Thing are not what it seems.
Anyways my problem solved ord. Thanks for all the bros replies out there.
