MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:06:30 PM »
Not a good year for my car(5 years +++/abt 130k), seems like one issue after the other. Now MIL light keep turning on. This happen even after ECU reset( done at Autosaver). The light disappear after reset, but comes out again the next day. Noted the fault was the oxygen sensor. I was recommended to change the grade or brand of petrol, but light still do lit after after one day of reset... sian!!! now most likely have to replace the oxygen sensor.

Mine 3.5 years @ 94000 km kana this problem liao. If not wrong, it cost me slightly more than $200 to replace it at Tan Chong. Could be cheaper outside.

Sorry for hijacking this thread.

Just this evening, halfway along the AYE, suddenly my Malfunction Indicator Light came up as well....the car then experienced very slow pickup, rpm stuck at 2000, speed at 60km/h. Need to floor the accelerator to gather speed....I quickly filtered to the left lane and off/ on the engine and its ok again.... Anybody got this problem before?

I did my 70k servicing just last week at Autosaver.

Not sure whether to go Tan Chong or Autosaver to check out the problem...

went Autosaver Kaki Bukit to check. The error code is P2138.
they advised me to remove the drive throttle controller which I have installed as it might have 'short' my accelerator sensor.
I have since removed it and so far its ok...
