$440 is indeed a reasonable price given dat its done by agent, do check wif them wat is the warranty period given by them...

Just checked, warranty is one year.

Hi Ender,

Momentary loud hissing noise when I turned on the aircon.  While driving every now and then the hissing noise will kick in. Also air con getting less cold,  until one day, it could not cool my cabin,  and that was finally enough for me and sent to tan chong to check. Lucky they have some kind of seasonal serving campaigning going on, that's why the reasonable charges.

No "tuk"  sound.. Maybe compressor gone liao... No point asking here, just sent to tan chong to check and decide later to fix with them or outside workshop.

Hi, think you talking about Tomika at Ubi Rd 1. My ac also kaput today. Any idea how long the repair takes? Thanks.

I am driving Nissan Sylphy 1.5 for less than 2 years when I  heard hissing sound and the air con is no longer cool after sometime.  Got it changed during the warranty which would otherwise cost more than $1500 according to SA.  After another 2 years, now that my car is about 4 years plus, I start hearing hissing sound again.  Air con is cool but only on hot days.  On rainy or cold days, my air con is not cold.

Suspect that it is the same air con problem.  Anybody knows where to find a skillful mechanic at reasonable cost to repair air con and their contact number.  Very saiz, looks like air con repair is a once in two years affair.

Appreciate your recommendations.

Changed my cooling coil 6mhs back and come with 1year warranty for the coil.
Now, suspect cooling coil is leaking as the is a hissing sound.

As my car warranty is over, will TCM charge any labor for inspection or replacement??
if yes, anyone know the charges like?
Thank you
