Air-leak (hissing) sound when depressing the brakes pedal
« on: September 23, 2011, 10:14:42 PM »
There is a hissing sound when i press hard on the brakes (when engine is on and off).  Is this normal?  I went to TC for servicing today and raised the issue.  The engineer said this is normal... but I did not notice such sounds before.  Anyone can advise?

It could be the Brake Booster vacuum leaking.  Do you feel need to step harder on the brake to stop the car than before the "hissing" sound started ? :(
