Hi all, I'm driving a 2007 Nissan Latio Premium (Auto). Anybody know where to change the display panel on the side of the gear lever???  :confused1: The letters had faded. TCM is my last resource.

maybe can consider stickers?

Stickers are a good idea.

Maybe you can look for a stockist? I don't know where they are. But you can try asking the people in this forum thread:

Hi, thks for your suggestion. Had gone to some sticker shops but they unable to do it cause it will block the light. Anyway I've checked with TCM, quoted me the spare part $72 and labour $120 exclude GST. Maybe I'll just get the spare part and install myself.  ::)

Hi, attached is the photo taken from my car. Actually I'm looking for the panel indicate the P,R,N,D,L and the silver rim shown in the photo.

I do not see a need to change the panel.
Anyway you should not be looking at the panel while driving.  You should look at the display on dashboard instead.   ;D

actually, if its $72, still ok lor if you really can diy it. you can try autosavers and autoaid to get another quote.

i can understand how you feel, I also like to keep my car in tip-top condition as long as it is within my means  ;)

You can just buy sticker (3M, oracle etc) and DIY yourself. The sticker is not ex but you need to spend some time doing it. Removing the silver rim/lining is easy, use a flat head screw driver or pocketknife to get the rim up. :)

mine oso same problem last time..the bloody hanphone holder just drop directly down and hit the panel indicator....din know that it is so "fragile"....went back to TCM to do it cos i cannot figure out how to remove the panel at gear lever....the rest all can remove easily by prying it apart....

TCM did not charge me due to goodwill....perhaps cos I service my car there regularly....
