Mine is a CVT Oct 2005 model (SFZ plate).  My total mileage now is 157k+. Serviced dutifully with TCM till 120k then switched to AS.   I have faced the following major problems:
- aircon compressor intermittent not cold when reached mileage 130k. (repaired - removed compressor clutch washer)
- replaced one ignition coil at mileage 150k (3 remaining still stock - donno when going to kaput)
- replaced engine belt at mileage 145k
- suspension mounting discovered crack ~ 140k (replaced both front)
- front/rear suspension still stock but very soft liao (pending to replace)
- engine mounting crack (pending to replace)
- strong vibration (probably due to engine mount and old ignition coils)
- interior creaking and ratlling everywhere (managed to reduce substantially by DIY tape or sponge insulation on the joints of HU panels, top panels, A-pillars, door panels, even in old Kenwood stock HU also top cover loose)

Think it may be useful for us to share our odometer reading and problems face so that we can anticipate and prepare.  Thinking of using my latio till COE expire due to the high cost of cars now.

Let's get things going... :D

Make this a knowledge base of issues?

Current: 40,000km

Problems:
Exhaust Collar Sound - Noisy when reversing.
Steering joint/coupling - Renewed twice at 10k/30k. Steering shakes when going over bumpy roads. Makes knocking sounds when turning.
Cooling Coil - Renewed once. Air con was making shoosh shoosh sounds when driving.
Static shocks at door - Tightened earth terminal.
Vanilla smell coming from air con - Filter cleaned. Smell persisted. After cooling coil was renewed, the smell occurred less frequently.

Cooling coil - Replaced once.
Steering coupling - replaced during warranty.

the rest such as brake pads, shock absorber i believe is under wear and tear so not relevant.

Autobay Kaki Bukit. Go up the ramp to level 2, think 3rd or 4th shop on your right. Car aircon specialist. Look for Luck. Charged me total $60 for the repair and compressor lubricant application. Process took  30 mins.  Before that went to other normal ws, was told compressor kaput!!! Heng I seeked 2nd opinion.  Already six months now, aircon so far so good.

Hi Anaconda,

May I know how much you paid to replace the suspension mounting? Mine also cracked liao and need replacement. Also did you get any quotation to replace the front suspension? Can share how much to replace them? TIA!

Mine is also CVT May 2005. Mileage now is 123,500+. I've replaced the alternator and front lower arms in May 2011 but will need to dig out the receipts (still in boxes as I just moved house) and update here later. Now my Check Engine Light (CEL) came on and suspension mounting cracked.  :crying:

sorry guys, you mean  you change the cvt oil every 30k still the GB uplorry?

mine last cvt oil change was at 60k mark, now my ride nearing 100k, don't know whether should change cvt oil now or wait till 120k.

the last time during servicing, i ask mechanic to checked the cvt fluid and he told me okay, no need change, so was wondering checking the fluid is it enough?

based on manual recommendation is change cvt oil every 60Kkm....but for some of us kiasu & kiasi....we increase frequency of change to every 30Kkm.....

i don't mind being kiasu/kiasi, i rather change cvt oil than change cvt GB.

but still don't understand why TCM now propose changing cvt oil at 100k mark instead of 60k now.  :out:

32,000KM : CVT

Diagnose / Part replaced :
* Steering wheel knocking sound - Replaced steering rack at Nov 2011.   :devil2:
* Squeaking sound inside engine base, TCM just "lubricant" the belts. Twice within 3 months, now can't be bother.   :confused1:
* Engage gear, "thud" sound from GB. - Told TCM twice & send in to check. TCM claim they cannot replicate the issue.  :out:
  - anyone encounter that GB "thud" issue ???   :confused1:   Is it GB up-lorry leow ?

2009 22000km (bought used last year). Still under warranty so sending back to AD. Sign up for NPMP somemore (kinda regret now)

Centre console and rear panel rattling non-stop. Already complaint at Ubi service centre 5 times still not resolved. (Any recommended workshop that can resolve the rattling noise??)
Steering shaft re-secure
Battery recommended to change (old batt left 80%, whatever tats mean)
i-key battery changed (DIY)
Air-con compressor squeak-noise during idle (haven't complain yet)
Flapping noise from bonnet when driving along expressway
