Sedan model Year 2005, 90,000 KM.

Left wing mirror gear or motor spoilt, cannot close. - did not fix.
Strange suspension click sound coming intermittently from the front - no solution, just drive slower when approaching road humps.
Rattling sound intermittently from left read passenger floor board area  - no solution, difficult to trace source.

Latio CVT 2008-November...

(not in any order)
1.   Wind screen wipers

2.   Battery died exactly 1 year

3.   Tyres - BOTAK very fast.. especially the front 1s..
originally came with Yokohama.. now changed to Falken

4.   NOW BIG PROBLEM... GEARBOX... TCM say 2 replace but 18K...
if  TCM do overhaul, they charging about4-5K... went to AMK motorhub,
2 options -->  if overhaul, 3.5k.  If replace with imported JAPAN recon, 2.4K,
but have to wait long time.. nearly 1 month as many Latio got same problem.

5.   Fan belt.

6.   Windscreen wiper WATER - finish very fast.

7.   Coolant liquid... finish very fast.

8.   Horn died suddenly.  While turning, it works but when going straight, it does not work.

Cheers / Ramesh

Gosh! What's your mileage? Have you ever changed your CVT oil previously?

My servicing for every 10K, I always send back to TCM-Eunos as I have taken the NPMP package with them....  Honestly,I don't know if they do a proper servicing or just half- f****d type checkup.  If they do a proper servicing, if any replacement of parts, I really don't mind paying.

1.   Have changed the horn... TCM-Eunos said that the horn ring.. (don't know what the hell that is), they changed and charged me about $265.00....

2.   TMC-Eunos said that there is no noise from the fan-belt.  WAH!!!  Their technicians must be deaf lor!!

3.   Coolant goes down every 1 month.... & I have to top it up every month.. After 1 month, it is down to 1/2 or even less...

4.    Gearbox -->  CVT.  TCM-Eunos sent to Toa Payoh and their technicians said if replace will cost 18K!!  They think I earn money big bucks 1 huh?  HALLO!!.. I just a salesman mah!!!  Then they say to overhaul.. only about 4-5K... I tell them nvm.. Finally I got my own technician in AMK to tow  out.  He said right no have the recon/refurbished gearbox avlbl as cntrs coming form Japan no have this inside.  He suggest to overhaul.. 2,800 only.  Will be getting back my car this Friday...

FINALLY!!!

But whatever it is lah.. I am very happy because of the 12 main reasons.. legroom at the passenger seat.,.. MASSIVE.. & the boot also big.. for this category...

Cheers / RAMESH

Latio sedan 07 - current 180000km clocked.

Just took over from cousin late last year at 170000km clocked with 1 more npmp at TCM.

At servicing day at TCM at 170000km+, ask the uncle there anything important require to change or replace. He said none - all ok.

Last Sunday, my buddy who is a car dealer sit my car - told me to have my CVT GB and engine check up. So I drop by AS Tuesday yesterday to change my CVT oil - true enough, oil are black and beyond expiry.

Then they check and told me the following:
- suspension mounting crack (pending to change)
- Engine mounting crack (more urgent - to change coming sat) $500+
- front/back suspension soft (pending to change)

:crycry:  :crycry: TCM really KNS! Because it NPMP package, doesn't want to spend more effort in checking or replacing - they just say all ok. Bloody hell - definitely boycott TCM or TCAC!!!

I had just one bad experience with TCM and since then (3yrs ago), I had stopped going back to them.
Now, I do all my servicing at Autosavers or Autoaid.

Now I know 1 thing for sure.. I Once my NPMP package finish with TCM, I will NOT go  back to them any more.

KNS.... pay them so much money to check the car and they never do good job... some more my car gearbox go kaput... the service side, they never want to help me.  But whatever it is lah.. the TCM Eunos salesman good 1 horh!!    He really go out of his way to help me with my gearbox problem.

Can anybody recommend a good place where I can get my car serviced sui sui... and also help to take care of my car, engine & others as well?

Cheers / Ramesh

Yup, definitely agree with this. Kelvin gives good service too.  After changing engine mounting at 157k mileage, my latio sedan has more power, less engine noise and minimal vibration.  Like new car.  I am still amazed what new engine mounting can do...my best investment so far.

Hi Bro

We changed engine mounting at the same time at Kelvin's shop.  Good investment on the engine mounting.  I just changed spark plug a few days ago
at his shop again.  Good service and knowledge on latio.  Highly recommended.

Mileage: 74K ( Very low )

So far issue ( not so much )
(1) Rear wheel bearing - sound during low speed.. changes once
(2) Windscreen wiper - change many times.. everytime TCM change sure got issue..
(3) Front shock absorber rubber cover and Top Mtgs - Crack and will have sound if i got over the hump too fast ( Now i monitoring, TCM say do not need change now )
(4) Aircon not cold - Monitoring but so far seems ok

Bro Kevin,

Can send your contact details so all of us here can keep in touch with you?  My next 10K NPMP with TCM coming up soon.  After that, I will stop & terminate.

Now scouting for another place where I can send in my car for regular 10K checkups.

Can anybody recommend a good workshop & reliable 1?

Thanks / Ramesh

BTW, $2,400 is for RECON/REFURBISHED gearbox.  Takes about 2 months to come in from Japan.  No ready stocks.  Also heard from a lot of people who have CVT version Latio, they also encountering problems with gearbox.

KNS TCM... lousy people...  :crycry:

Dear All

My car is due for 100,000km servcing. But was thinking of not sending to TCM anymore.
The last few servcing wasn't up to my expection.
- Found out that they didn't test drive my card after servcing, question them only say sorry.
- Report fault always say nothing found. All in order.

F.. the service manager upside down. Say we go back to TCM and pay premium price and get F.. up servcing why bother to go back again.

I am going to change to outside service since warranty is over.
