« on: June 07, 2012, 08:47:51 PM »
Has any tried to do your own DIY reverse camera? Such as this http://www.focalprice.com/ERE91B/Mini_Waterproof_170_Degrees_Wide_Angle_Car_Rear_View_Reverse_Camera_Black.html
And connected it to a screen (GPS or ICE) in your car? Can share how to do it?

Ya.. i DIY my own reverse camera, and connected it to my DVD player. Time consuming, lots of sweat involved but shiok and satisfying once you have completed the project  :yehyeh: I took 3-4 hours on this DIY, and I attached the camera near to my number plate. The +ve power i tapped on to the reverse light wire (ie. when you shift the gear to "R", the reverse light came on, and so your camera is activated too). There's a bypass wire that you need to connect to your DVD player, so that when you put on the gear to 'R', the DVD screen autoswitch to the reverse camera view.
