MIL (malfuntion indicator light)
« on: September 14, 2011, 01:46:43 PM »
hi experts, i experience my MIL (malfuntoin indicator light) "on" 2 times after i start my engine...
the engine is on, but step gas the car will not move..
i need to power down the engine, and then restart it... and everything is back to normal..
this happens once maybe 1 month ago...
today after i pump fuel it happens again...
car can still move today with the MIL light on today...
the 1st experience the car dont move at all...

the last 2 service are done by "autosaver" in defu...
at 40k km and 50k km...

any idea what could be wrong...
dont really rev the car hard...
max is 4k rpm...

Your car should still be under warranty, bring it into TCM to have it checked, once they plug in the consult, error code will appear, they will be able to advise you. Alternatively, you can bring your ride to autosaver, they have the consult thingy too.

Have the same problem before, apparently its the O2 sensor faulty. Replace at Auto saver. Cant remember the cost , I think abt $120.

hi, can i ask how to localise this problem to O2 sensor...
i did my service at autosaver defu lane since 40k km...
the last service at 60k km, the guy who read out says he cannot locate the problem..
even tot the device does read got engine malfunction check light issues...

before you change.. does your car starts with high rpm once a while after parking long period or parked over night..
100% in the pass, the car starts and doesnt move off due to the engine malfunction check light...
but the last time it happens few days ago.. the engine malfunction check light come up during driving...
the car cannot move.. lucky is low speed... if high speed... cannot imagine what could have happened...

hope to hear more from you regarding this issues before i call up autosaver to replace this O2 sensor..
or go back tan chong safer... any comments... thanks...
