Quality of our stock rims
« on: March 20, 2012, 02:04:08 PM »
Hi all,

Anyone would know if  the stock rims for Latio Sport are of good quality? In terms of weight, forged/cast, durability?

I am considering changing rims to those $100-$200 rims at tyre shops. And I do not wish to be actually 'downgrading'.
I believe Nissan does not manufacture rims. Anyone knows what Japan brand are the Latio stock rims from?

Cheers!

Good to know it's durable.  ;D
Just wish to know whether it's much better quality than those $100-200 rims.
Dont' want to downgrade without knowing.

i have been using the replica SSR type rims for a few years already,

in terms of weight, definitely lighter than stock at less than 5kg, stock is more than 7kg.
so yes, the lighter rims does translate to better pick up.

as for reliability, touch wood, so far so good, but i remember reading somewhere that even our stock rims also of so-so quality as its fitted locally.
Objects in mirror are losing
