Previously driven the lancer glxi auto CVT and during that time my mechanic advice to change the CVT oil at 30k to 40k interval. So each time i see the oil(if I remember correctly) it's reddish in colour and looks pretty used but still reddish.

Now currently driving latio at 40K mileage I went to change the CVT oil and the colour is totally BLACK. The oil use is NS-2 and the colour is clear greenish. My concern is failure of CVT which may cost more so assume average mileage at 20k per year and change at every 2yrs of $140 is still reasonable and after the oil change I can feel the drive very much smoother.

Car is very expensive so need to take care to drive long long......

bro, your mech uses idemitsu oil? Not the original Nissan NS-2 CVT oil?? Any problem so far??

CVT oil is 5.5 - 6 litres
Engine oil is 3.1 litres should be enough already.DON"T OVER FILL THE ENGINE OIL.
as for the CVT oil,why not using back the original nissan NS2 fluid.if anything goes wrong ,u need to come out more money for CVT GB
