Problem with gear
« on: July 25, 2012, 09:31:36 AM »
Good morning to all people here.

I hope some kind souls can answer my questions about my 4AT latio gear problems.

a) In stationary mode and on 'D' during stop traffic after driving for some time, when I wanted to move, I need to accelerate very hard before the car can move.
I bring to the workshop tied to the used car dealer and they say its gear sensor fault, possible?

b) After replacing sensor, now when accelerate from stop, car will jerk.
Same workshop say gearbox oil leaking, need to top up, leak is due to rubber hose harden, they cut off the tip and reconnect. Cost me $350 including engine oil change at the same time as its wear and tear and not covered under warranty.

I am not sure if I can't trust this workshop, I did want to bring to workshop outside but was threathen with voiding of warranty if I do so. My 2nd hand latio comes with 1 year warranty by dealer workshop.

Hmmm... First of all, what your warranty covers since u r paying for previous rectification effort?

Doesn't make sense that you are paying outta your pocket and be bounded to particular appointed workshop.
