Just changed my compressor at MarkCool this morning. Total damage 560. Now aircon is back to normal and very cold  :yehyeh:
Ride is 7yrs old ++

For those interested to know how your compressor looks like, here's the pictures. It's hard to find via Google or Yahoo so I guess for the convenience to all..

Compresser up lorry soon, as it not kick in anymore. :(

Compressor still going strong

Probably a slow leak

Gas topped up & now cold

Be safe. Go with the flo.

Confirmed. Anyway, the main prob is not enough gas. Where leak I dunno but very likely to be cooling coil. Changed mine @ Kelvin's workshop (really recommended)

Hi All,

I was wondering beside compressor and cooling coil, what other factor or parts that will make the air-con not cold?
Radiator?

There are 3 sensors in the air con system, one of mine was faulty, as a result 25 DC and 18 DC had the same level of chillness.

For those who on their aircon, usually will have a "thun" sound coming from compressor in normal working conditions.
So for those who on their aircon but did not heard this sound, most likely is the compressor got shorted.

I got this problem when travelling from one area to another area and the aircon was working fine, park there for a few hours and start engine hot air blowing out again. Did not heard the sound. After diagnose at one of the WS, found that is compressor problem.

The person just use a tester to test on the fuse and the fuse was open. He inform just change 1 of the part in compressor (repair) and top up gas. Now working fine.

Meaning to say, actually no need to change out the compressor which I did about 3 years back. Just change one part inside compressor ok liao.

This seem very intersting....
Can share more?
Like..Do we need to remove the compressor, How long the repair need, Cost of repair....
Lastly...Where is the workshop?
Thanks....

Maybe I can share my problems so others can also benefit.

My car was about 5 years old, and aircon started not able to cut in (no "thun"sound) when in jam like causeway to JB. But when checked at workshop, the aircon worked fine. It happened more frequently after that. Even while waiting in the car, the aircon would not cut in. So my problem with aircon is only not cool during jam/stationary and under hot sun. I went to Tomika @Alexandra and they changed the compressor magnetic clutch @200.

All went well for another 6 months, then after another long 1 hour jam at causeway, the aircon totally not able to cut in. Went to Kelvin's workshop and they showed me the fuse broken and advised me to change the compressor. Now the aircon cools much faster than before. Hopefully it can last me a few more years.
