FC for Latio
« on: March 15, 2013, 04:32:30 PM »
Hi guys,

I got a pre-own 7years old Latio. So far the FC is about 8 - 10km/l. May I know is it the norm for old latio (I heard from people it should be higher).

I maintain my rpm at around 2k every time still get these range of FC.

How to increase the FC?

Brian

Hi Bro,

you mean decrease the FC?

mine is almost 6 years. average 12km/l ... no mod, 16" rims, on eztab ( not sure that helps the FC) and average RPM 3-4k  :devil2:

its still eventually the right foot, the other things do help as well

I heard people talked about the right foot. I tried for a month just going at 2000 rpm but still same result.

I asked the servicing uncle and he told me something about the Latio electric wiring or computer that is causing the FC to be high.. Yet to confirm but every week standard 300km 33litre petrol

I think tyres also play a part.

Depends on how you drive?

If mostly highway, will have better FC.
If city area (many traffic light), FC will drop.

For mine is 08 on 15" tyres, on highway can reach 15km/l, 3/4 tank about 420 - 480km.
If city, FC will drop to about 11 - 13km/l, 3/4 tank about 400 - 420km.

Sometime ram on highway 100 - 110km/h.

Alot of answer if you go do a search on it.

5.5 yrs old CVT latio 100% stock. Zero mod FC during 4.5yrs service with TCM 11-12km/l now service outside FC 12-14km/l.

75% HW with 25% City.
No see rpm cos CVT very unique +- 3k rpm until require speed

I very regularly service 6mths or 10K nothing else.

Mine also 7 years, latio hatchback. 80% city, 20% highway. FC 10-11km/l.

I read somewhere have to drive differently for CVT and 4At to attain optimal FC.

Do a throttle cleaning and spark plug change if needed, I change my plus at 80K km interval instead of the recommended 100K. Ride is 7 years old and 170K km. Just cleaned my throttle body and changed my plugs during my last service. Averaging around 11 -12km/l, 60 to 70% highway cruising at 100 to 110 kmh. Usually hit 3 to 4 k during acceleration from standstill if situation permits, sometimes forget to release but quite a bit of short trips too which is less than 10km per trip. This is a killer for km/l.

Mine is a Latio CVT is left with 2.5 yrs. Usually pump a tank of 35 - 37L gives me around 450km - 470km. If I stretch it, 500km. 50/50 city & expressway driving. RPM seldom above 2.2k. Normal cruising somewhere below 2k.

I not sure, maybe when empty and you fill with petrol it will mix easily.

But I do the other way.  :D
