" ji..." sound when brake
« on: February 26, 2014, 10:29:36 AM »
replaced  original brake pad @ 70k , now is 120k,  "ji.." sound was heard when brake,  went to work shop, was told the front brake pad still can last at least 6 month, brake disc, brake shoe also normal.   as the brake pad was alreday taken out, decideed to replace with original brake pad, but after server days, the sound happened again when brake, not loud, really confused what could be the problem?  anyone got similar experience?

brake rotor is original or slotted?

I only had this sound when slowing down at a slow speed due to my slotted rotor.

Hi

May I know where you replace the brake pad. I have the similar issue and went back to TC for more than 4 or 5 time. Before they decided to change a better "version" of brake pad for me. After changing it, the sound still there buy soften a lot.

i used to get this sound too.

after checking by kelvin, he was able to trace to my front left brake.
i saw him sanding off as well as apply some grease. i cannot confirm is that all as i only visually see from a distance and didnt ask him exactly what he did.

for now after 1 month, the sound is no longer there and i am keeping my finger crossed it doesn't happen again.
