Ya alots of ppl say sure to get coe after 6th unsuccessful bids. But the problem is if they decided not to give out coe due to losses, current buyer will need to book or source another car at a higher px now .

Eg, most of us book in Feb b4 cny at ard 56~57k but now i heard is 64~65k liao.

correct me if i am wrong.

Don't mean to rub salt on the wound.  I had shared many weeks ago in this forum that my SE told me that it is not true that sure get coe by 6th bid.  She told me that it ever happened before.  So, this is not the first time.

sure bro! in the case of tcm, it's very true! and it'll be interesting to c that happening next week. if not we wouldn't be slamming those tcm management so much :devil2:...in any case, even if they give me the car without top up, I would still walk away as unhappy customer

What u say is tru bro. This happen to all motor dealers if the COE keep rising & they are having negative margin out from the deal.

Anyway i didn't regret to top up a small amt inorder to get a open cat.

Hi BlackieLatio,  I think some other bro/sis may have different views, I think you have made the right move.  Top-up a little and get the car that you like. Cheers!

hey guys,

I jus received a call this morning saying that the management wants us to top up $5000 to secure a guaranteed bid on the 6th bid.... my reply is... wtf... i may as well buy another car...

to get this latio, i have to go thru months of waiting and yet need to pay $5000 for their incompetency and they think they are doing it out of  goodwill for us???

what is this??? heard that there's not only a few of us going through this... but the number can be as close as 100 customers....

kaozz..

Hi Guys,

My determined SE called me this evening... ask me to top $6k to get a guarantee COE... haha... i told her i guarantee i will never buy from TCM again.....

Then she offer me to top up $1700 to try for the last time....  wah piang eh... she really determined... she explained the $1700 is due to the ARF rebate of 10% given by the gaverment... so offset... nothing to lose for me...

Sigh... i told her if TCM employed smarter ppl, i would have enjoy the ARF rebate + got my car in Feb instead of wasting 3 mths and end up having to pay extra...

She still have not given up... she say now car price going up and up... better to top up and get the car from TCM...

I told her even if i have to pay more for a car now, i rather get from other agent... why should i let TCM earn my hard earned money this way...

SHE FINALLY GIVEN UP AND END THE CALL BY SLAMMING THE PHONE !! WTF!!!

This Wednesday i am going to TCM to get my deposit back and end this unhappiness once and for all.

By the way, my SE is MagXXXXXX Chua... wonder if any bro have the same SE...

Bro.. relax relax... Some SE really CMI...

i think it all depends on the efficiency of individual SE ba... I think itz heng-suay one lor.. I also agree nowadays I very disappointed in the SE in TCM.. coz I walked into TCM that day with my friend and I asked 1 SE some simple questions abt LAtio and he stammered... and cannot answer me....   :glare:

But the SE I got my car from is quite good la... I got my car first bid.. and she was able to give me some good advice on the COE and stuff.. very detailed abt the car... exterior hand-over condition was not bad.. she even send the papers to my doorstep for me to sign...  and up to now still call me sometimes to check on my ride...

Good service comes with less freebies laaa....  :D

So if u still want a last try with TCM.. u tell me ba.. will give u the contact of my SE... guarantee this one won't slam phone..  :D

hi bro,

Ur SE seems unpro in handling an unhappy customer... Slamming the phone is too much...

The question is why i need to top up only $5k while u need to top up $6k.. where's the difference? My minimum bid is $4500, you cant be $3500 for sure.... so where this additional $1k goes to?

though it's not their fault that they cant secure a bid for us, the other way to outreach to the management is the stir the feelings of the SE?? haha.. man, i'm not going to give a damn..

Bro, i heard from my friend which is also a SE but not in TCM. He told me actually top up amount is not fixed & usually some of it goes into the SE own pocket. She can top up for u maybe 4k to try next bidding & if cannot kena, they will give u an open cat of 12002 0r 13k plus like my case. But i just top up only 1k.
