Other than inflating your tyres, make sure your wheels are properly aligned, and tyres balanced too.

Misaligned wheels cause unnecesary friction and wear and increases fuel consumption too.

To add on, make sure of proper servicing, especially changing of engine oil to protect your engine... ::)

Latio synthetic engine oil change interval is 10K km, not 15K km.

But Daihatsu oil change interval is 15K km.

Which makes me wonder why some oils can last 10K km while some can last 15K km.   :confused1:

Engine oil will deteriorate in its capability to lubricate the engine after extended use.

actually somebody pls educate mi. the engine oil collects also all the deposits and dirt etc thats why it turn black, so usually mineral oil at 5k u change it, it is already abit blackish and contaminated... by 10k those using synthetic oil is black black already... isn't it better to just keep changing mineral oil in this case?

Hi, may be another alternavtive is the

ENGINE CARBON REMOVAL service @ SGD$20 from htyre@Bendemeer road

Short start-stop driving trips as well as prolonged idling are the main causes of carbon deposits in the combustion chamber. Carbon deposits on the back of intake valves can impede air flow & cause a loss of high speed power. It also causes hesitation problems by absorbing fuel spray from injectors.
The blasting equipment softens, loosens and removes stubborn carbon deposits. The results can be felt immediately with your petrol burned more effectively bringing about higher engine performance.
Come down to have your engine carbon removed at SGD$20 per flush.

cheers

Hi all

this is my 1st noob post  ;D

am getting strictly 11.5km/l, 80% city, 20% hwy.

something interesting on yahoo (video) today:
"UPS saves money, 3 million gallons of fuel just by turning right"
http://www.yahoo.com/s/925067

in Sg, since we drive on the LEFT, wonder if we can do the same and save on ga$ by turning LEFT  ?

ie. plan (re-plan) our travel routes to minimize right turns that cut across traffic, which has higher probability of stopping to give way to oncoming traffic as compared to left turns.

very interesting.. it makes a lot of sense .. but it's not about turning LEFT.. if u turn LEFT into a jam infront of you, your FC also chui. the point is to avoid as many start/stop as possible
