How does ur discount works? If u pump $50 and get  station discount of 5%, then u pay $47.5. Then citibank gives u another 8% discount on $47.5 tat was charged to the card, so the final amt tat u pay is $43.7?

If it is 13% of $50, then u pay $43.5 right? So which discount u get?

 :devil2:

u pay $46.08 1st which is after 3% rebate from the statement...the 5% rebate of $2.38 will be refunded to u
when u hv accumulated $50 of rebates..thats mean u get $50 worth of petrol which cost u only $43.70.

i also hv 14% discount from caltex..but the area i stay doesnt hv any caltex station..i hv to travel out of my
area juz to enjoy another 1% discount on caltex which i find is not very worth.

Think FC is really dependent on how u drive...my last tank gave me 13.3...but previous tank 13.7....my guess is the last tank was mostly driven by my hubby....and the previous tank by me....will try to be more light footed on the gas and see if this tank improves back...

Mileage is also dependent upon outdoor temperature.

The lower the temperature, the more economical.

Caltex not worth.

Caltex
1 litre ($1.90+) = 1 point
1400 points = $40 petrol voucher

Esso
$1.25 = 1 point
750 points = $30 petrol voucher

You save an extra 3% $$$ with Esso.

i got 12% discount with esso(no rewards points)... 16% with caltex(with rewards points). so more sense for me to stick to caltex

In summary, which card give which petrol with more $$$ discount?

Citibank Dividend credit card on Esso as quoted by clarence?

"It is a 13% discount if you pay for your Esso petrol using Citibank Dividend credit card.
5% station discount and 8% Citibank rebate. Plus another 3% discount when you redeem 750 Esso Smiles points for $30 petrol voucher."

If you work in certain govt sector, like Temasek Holdings, you get to enjoy a corporate 16% discount card with Caltex.

For those unable to enjoy this benefit, Citibank Platinum Dividend Master Card is the next best alternative to allow to enjoy 13% discount at Esso, PLUS a further 3% rebate when you exchange 750 'Smiles' points for a $30 petrol voucher.

The 5% station discount is applicable for the $30 petrol voucher too.

3 Cheers to Esso!!!

the esso station i went to at aljunied road gave me $3 vouchers (i think they gave me 20) which each $3 can be used for every $50 pump

this is only top of the 5% + smiles + 8% dividend rebate

hi iagree, hv tried mine to rev at ~2 to 2.5k max in Malaysia high and maintained the speed average at 100 ~110km/h Max, it's really can help in FC, eg. try on 3/4 mark and to top up at JB, can reached ~ 150+km before reaching 1/2 mark. How abt yrs? Do share with us. Thanks.
