Latio Has NO Temperature Gauge
« on: July 06, 2008, 12:26:01 AM »
I just realised that Latio has no temperature gauge, which can be very dangerous if you don't keep track of the dashboard should the red light on the dashboard indicating overheating appear.

And what happens if the bulb for the red warning light blows and does not light up when engine is overheated?

gee, u brought up a very good point bro. When i drove to Bangkok, heng the engine didn't overheat. I guess if u want a sense of added security, can try adding a gauge, or some meter to inform you of the water temp.

i know my engine overheated when the water temp showed 110 degree celsius (fan belt burst due to inferior installation skill)

overheating was in Latio (my 1st car) but this was not in Bangkok or Msia.

Overheating was in SGP because the fan belt ripped into 3 parts.

this has been discuss years ago since newer cars starts to come with just a light indicator instead of an analog gauge....

well.... my 1st car.... Datsun 120Y..... spring for the analog dial is spoilt (tension loosen)..... have gauge machiam no gauge....

so my take is there is a temp gauge, but its aint a fool proof thingy.... u just have to trust tat thingy does it job
