What things to buy during 20k servicing?

Thinking of going own workshop change the engine oil. Do i have to change the oil filter and air filter at the same time? wats the est cost like ? Wat other checks are required?

I just recently did my servicing at another workshop. 25,000km servicing, ask them to follow the nissan maintenance book. Also ask them to help me check the air-con air filter but they told me need not change. So basically is engine oil and oil filter thats about it and rotated and balance tire. :yehyeh:

To my understanding, servicing outside voids your 3 year warranty with Tan Chong.

Why void 3yrs wrty?

15k servicing or 20k servicing, mainly is to change EO & Filters, nothing much to do. TCM's pkg is too ex.

My next service will go for TCM Package A. S$180 or sthing...

Hi,

on the warrenty issue I have called nissan before and all they said was to ensure warrenty is not voided best is to go to TCM to service. Then i called comfort delgro before they just say that they cannot ensure my warrenty is not voided by TCM. In short they like to play "tai chi".  :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:

I just feel that if you do your regular servicing the car should be fine. Just make sure that they follow the nissan servicing manual. From what I know from my limited experience, if you are sway even if you buy a new car the 1yr year also can have many problems :crycry:. These kind of things really heng sway one :bleh:

called by SE for advice. He suggested I should go for my 20k service with TCM since my car is only 9 months old, and I should wait until my car is over 1 year and no big problem with the car then service outside. Else, TCM can always void the warranty if anything happen....

I have encountered several car distributors who find excuses to void your warranty when customers do not service their cars with them.

Revenue from the distributors' workshops make up a substantial part of the revenue and if there is no revenue coming from servicing, they are not going to suffer a loss either, to replace faulty parts in a car which does not contribute to their revenue in not servicing with them.
