My SE tells me it's $1000 off test drive models. Not advisable coz test drive units tend to be red-lined by many people.  :devil2:

Mileage of 130km for test drive unit is very low.

But if the discount is less than $1,000, then it is not so worth it.

I thought Tan Chong usually waits for their test drive units to reach at least 500km before they sell it.

I'm also new to the Latio Club and just got mine last Thu...Am enjoying every moment and running up to 1000km.
My first tank of fuel estimated at 1L to 13.8km. A lot better compared to my previous Hyundai Matrix...8))
I'm also happy with the drive and minimal road noise, good legroom and climatic air-con...;))

 :yehyeh:
My FC is around 12 - 12.5 litre (50% city and 50% highway) after many tanks. Current mileage is arond 6500 km got it in may 08.

What is usage pattern for your 13.8 km/l ah?

Rgds

6500km in less than 3 months?   That is quite high mileage.

I noticed that Latio consumes most petrol during cold start in the morning when tachometer reads 1800rpm at idle in neutral.

I can practically see my fuel tank needle drop  :glare:

To get maximum mileage out of your tank of petrol -
1. Remove spare tyre. Keep a can of tyre sealant on stand by
2. Remove all junk in your boot
3. Pump your tyre presure up to 230KPa
4. Try not to turn on your air con where possible
5. Pump cost efficient 95RON petrol
6. Be as light on the accelerator as possible. Imagine that your foot is stepping on an egg
7. Go for regular maintenance service
8. Clean your car of dirt to reduce drag
9. Go on a diet and lose weight so that your Latio carries a lighter load   ;D
10. Don't drive up to the highest level of your multi-storey car park to park your Latio just to avoid those scratches and dents. Might not be fool proof
11. Any more to add?

Great deal you got.

Tan Chong must be desperate to clear pre facelift stocks that they are even giving away free body kit.

Body kit actually costs an extra $500.

So selling price of Latio with bodykit is $53,500.

Deduct $500 if you opt out of bodykit, but it seems that lately, Tan Chong has been giving out the body kit for free.

$53,000 selling price now comes with body kit.

KNS, my times was DS3 bodykit cost $1000 and upgrade sport rim plus leather seat cost $500.  :(

That was when DS3 body kit was first launched.

Things usualy cost more during launch and prices will drop at its end of life cycle.

I bet you that the facelifted Latio price will drop to the current prefacelift Latio price of $53,000 in 2010 (if COE remains at current levels) when the completely new model Latio is launched.
