« on: August 06, 2008, 04:30:51 PM »
Now i am thinking of who to send my car for grooming leh.. SO MANY choices and so much comments by other across all websites...

So i decide to compile 1 overall  thread hehe

My aim is to
1)I am thinking of sending my car to groomer once a while
2)Wants to buy groomer SIMPLE & Minimal DIY stuffs (for DIY cleaning myself using groomer's products) so that the protection will not be compromise (true???)
3) Price must be cheap or worth the $$$ (i dont mind package deal)

after research, i have a few in mind le..but i dont know if it is the best deal
a) Latioboy & duragloss products
b) Nushine + Megiuar products
c)Lucenz + XXX products (no noe what products)

Can those experts give me some comments or comparison for these 3 ? thanks a lot

My views,

If you intend to sent your car for regular grooming, the only diy product you need to buy is a quick detailer such as aquawax. + car shampoo..

For me.. as adviced by wendy.. just use water to wash if i die die need to wash..i was told not to use car soap or shampoo after her grooming..

duragloss works ok with me. If you thinking of sending it to groomer, why not get maddetailer (distributor for duragloss) to detail for you. He can probably advise on the typres of products to use

My ICE journey so far - Pioneer P80RS - Morel Supremo Piccolo Tweeters - Morel Elate Midbass - Butler 475 - OZ vector 3 12" sub - Alpine MRP650 - MIT EXp2 Interconnects

Another choice.... Klasse. Website is www.klassesg.com
I buy the Klasse AIO and Sealant and groom myself or you can ask them to do it.
I read somewhere that Klasse Sealant is acrylic based so even wash with detergent also won't come off. I wash with 3M shampoo (which is supposed to be mild and wax friendly but who knows because I have never used wax) and really cannot tell if got come off or not.

Only thing I know can remove the sealant is the AIO which is part cleaner and coating. The AIO is also very good for removing tar and stubborn spots.

I usually claybar then apply AIO. Suprisingly, the applicator still turns slightly dirty. After that, when I apply the sealant, applicator clean clean one.

Hi bro, i second your choice of pdt....currently using Klasse sealant for my grooming ...but too lazy to DIY, so sometimes sent for grooming "Groomwerks" which uses Zaino...also very good & lasting...can consider as alternative....

Yeah. Heard good reviews about Zaino too.
Excellent optical clarity and wear resistance.
Too bad difficult to buy in singapore and needs time between time unless using the accelerator. DIY add up quite pricey. Good thing is one of the steps can be used for regular maintenance and additional coating.
