Received the renew notice from AIG, it's around $1.9K with 10% NCD. comparing last only 1.3K when I bought the new car from TC. How come shot up so high?

Anybody have good replacement to recommend? What is the reasonable offer? Me. 38 years, male, doing indoor job.

Your AIG quote is on the high side.

My friend who's 31 with 8 yrs driving experience driving a 1 yr old Latio and 0% NCD was quoted only $1,250 by another insurance company in the middle of this year.

i juz renewed mine from RSA for abt $1.6K...also 1 year old but 0% NCD......AIG quoted me $1.9K...

sigh mine is 3k! its crazily high. maybe coz i converted my license for only a year and im only 26. im gonna call up and ask them to check coz i have been driving in malaysia since 18 years old!

if you had made no claim,
after one year, insurance company gives you 10% NCD
2 consecutive years no claim ==> 20% NCD
and so on
until 5 consecutive years no claim ==> 50% NCD

you earn 10% per year if no claim or you can try ask your dad for it. NCD can transfer btw parent/child, spouse. Malaysia/Singapore. Maximum NCD is 50%

26 is below 31 age group, premium is higher. you can search some online tools to get quotation, try key in diff car eg. subaru WRX, Nissan March, QQ to see what is the effect of your "sport" car have on your premium.

Try OAC - they quote me the cheapest (actually msig - driveshield is better but i missed the $100 promotion)

NTUC - dont bother, you can try asking but i think its only slightly cheaper than AIG
