Aiyo, don't worry lah, you all. Some of you were saying that BM has more bidding power than TC. But don't forget, they also drop their prices for the Vios and Altis, etc by about the same amount as TC for Latio. So their margin will be similar to that of TC's and they will not be able to bid much higher than TC could. Some of you got your COE today right? TC has been in the car business for so many years liao, don't tell me they are so dumd as to price their cars so low that they will not have enough to secure the COE for the buyers meh? Then all their SEs working overtime to secure the sales just for fun ar? They must have done their calculations, checked and rechecked before publishing their car prices mah. If old cocks like them didn't know all these then TC would have closed shop long ago liao lo, tiok bo? So don't worry, all of you will get your COE and car within the contracted 6 bids. And you won't need to do any top up, trust me. Don't care what your SE tells you or how he/she psychos you. The most you tell your SE: "Ok, fine. Please return my deposit and I'll take the business to your competitor." Call their bluff and see what they say. They treated you like king, smiled and said so many nice things to you (even though he/she might have hated your guts) and finally convinced you to sign on the dotted lines. You think they will so easily return your deposit and let you go meh? And what about their commi$$ions, they don't need to earn ar? So don't worry, be patient. I say you will get means you will get.

Yup my SE called me and tell me not successful and told me prolly next bid and try to comfort me by saying those who got their coe last round cos they brought after the price increase. And those who got it this time were kinda of pre selected. Told me he will take the car allocation and prep it 1st.  :out:

I simply told him, well TCM would prolly not bid for me cos too low a price booked at and that they are waiting for it to drop further before bidding for me. And I was quick to add that its ok will wait till Feb 09 after my 6 bids and take back deposit. Can sense he cannot tahan me liao.  :yehyeh: :yehyeh:

Excellent sound advise

NEVER EVER top up for COE, unless you are really desperate for your car.

I have seen so many cases of buyers being asked to top up COE. They refused and still got their COE.

Agree  Even I desperate will just wait for. However from some previous threads, there were quite a few only get their rides after the top up.  :yehyeh:

Clarence.. then you got scold them? die sia.. i receiving this coming monday... i got a question which i think might be abit lame..

how are able to know the car is brand new from the warehouse instead of the one in the displayed showroom? cause mine is a white color was told to be the last one in the warehouse. i scare they replace it with the displayed one..

hi 1st timer,

dun worry too much on showroom car..at least it is park under shealter and they polish it everday so it will look shinning and attract buyer mah. :D save u $$ from senting to car grooming aft u collect your ride.

most important..check t car milage to ensure it not a test drive car which inyour case is unlikely as they usually sold them at a discount price.

So what? When your BIL scrap his car (in less than 10 yrs), his COE rebate will be based on $2 nia hor AND NOT $10,500. :devil2:
You may be wrong.  If the Open Cat premium is $10,500 at the round when Cat A premium is $10,400, the scrap value will be based on $10,400 and not $2 nor $10,500.

This means your BIL got a good deal.  Pay $2 and get $10,400.

Nope.. must top up further to get it.  I still don't get how you manage to get the Sport Premium for 49k given that the base price w/ the 1.5k loan subsidy is already at 51k.  Since you did not take the loan, your total amt should be 51.5k after deducting 1k for no BodyKit.

Check with bros who got the coe today, did u guys book ur car ex-stock before TCM increase the price? I book mine ex-stock $47K and did not get the coe today.  My guessing is if u guys got ur coe today at the price same as mine, then my SE trying to earn more in my opinion. My bid was $3K+ same as the previous bid, no revised.

Bro I got mine COE, I book mine ex-stock $47K and  get the COE @ 17 Dec..got mine new car next two week.

I will be getting mine within 2 to 3 weeks, the date not confirmed yet as my agent will contact me, and i told her that i would prefer to collect at jan 2009..

Better to register at 2009 coz your it would be easier to count & nicer to see, imagine ur register put 29/12/2008, u see also sian....

All who got at that price were all FL no more pre FL. The discount was for ex-stock and YOM 2008 but most will get in 2009.
