It is Tan Chong Management which makes such decision whether to bid for your COE, so you cannot blame your SE as it is beyond his/her control.

Well, I am not blaming him, just realised didnt actually get good deal from SE tats all. And if didnt get it after 6 bids more than happy to appoarch another SE.

well, to be honest, i doubt you will be able to get a deal better than what was offered..given that yen has appreciated etc..

and so far your SE has kept to his/her part of the deal and has not reneged on any of the terms so far..everything is still within the contractual T&Cs that you have willingly signed..so i do not see in what way you are unhappy..

from your posts what you are unhappy abt is that you failed to get the COE while others have already gotten theirs...but fact is still as long as its still within the 6 rounds of bidding they have done nothing wrong yet..

i can understand the frustration of not being able to get the COE while watching others get theirs..i myself was very very to get mine the last round, but hope you don't throw your sensibility out of the window due to your frustration..

Don't worry.

You will sure get your COE, only question is "When"?

If you traded in your existing car, you probably have been offered a price for it, so you can continue using it till you get your new car.

Well I couldnt say I am unhappy purely because SE did help me secure my COE but just that I realised that if I had stick to other SE would have gotten at least something for my existing ride. Was too fast to commit. I didnt get anything from my SE for my existing Korean car. It was mistake on my part to rush into it. My fault. :yehyeh:

And after calculations, realised that if I didnt get COE might continue to drive my ride as believe market will be weak and prices might fall further no doubt that yen is rising. This is the best senario provided existing car do not give me problems.

I doubt prices will fall much, even if COE price dip.

You saw for yourself the lowest price in history for Latio basic sedan at S$46,000 when COE hit rock botom at $2.

COE prices for Cat A will remain at around this range and will not fall much as Borneo and Kah Motirs still have lots of backlog orders to fulfull up to March 2009.

My friend who booked the Altis was told that the earliest that he can get his car is in March 2009. There are stocks available but not enough COEs to register the cars. Borneo Motors will be agressive in bidding in order not to lose the deposits placed by buyers.

That's fair, well we'll never know when is the best time to buy as always.
All can do now is  and

And if got coe then good. If dont after 6 bids its ok, just get back deposit and try again later.  ;)

tcheckhuan,

Your new car has likely been registered. Otherwise your SE would not ask you to collect your car.

I don't see how it makes any sense for you to ask Tan Chong to store your newly registered car at their collection centre until a later date, when the depreciation for your new car has already started from the day it was registered.

Hi Clarence,

I m not sure abt this, anyway i dont think i would want to postpone the collection date, like wat u said above, the depreciation for my new car has already started since Tan Chong most probably has registered it.

Hello,

The depreciation is negligible for a few days, same if you left your car in your MSCP and go for a holiday. So does it make sense to you now unless you don't go for holidays ? Anyway it up to you to postpone your collection date if you have reason to collect on your actual date, I merely suggest, don't let a juvenile's philosophy affect you about the depreciation theory, once you bought a car, it already a loss immediately.
