me too, every oil change, change brand and try something else. Now trying Redline 10w30. Used since saturday. So far so good, i like it, better than my previous Agip Xw40. Yeah maybe 30 is thinner hence smoother pick up & more responsive, but then again, its also quieter than the agip oil leh.

Hi ,

I am going send my car for 5k servicing and i would like to change to full synetic engine oil..

Any brother here got any good recommendation..

I am thinking of using Mobile 1 0w40..

thanks '

Cars onlder than 3 yrs or above 100K mileage recommended to use Xw40 oil

new cars use Xw30 oil

u shld be changing to full syn oil ASAP. I learnt from my mistake. This will help u extend your free servicing period.

TCM in house Fasflo oil sucks to the core. 6K after running in, engine feel like choking noisy and sluggish like hell. I am a newbie and I a light footer to car so imagine if I tell u engine like F choking can be very jia lat already.

Subsequent change to Shogun, top up a bit of  $$ less tan $20 only, 10K into running no problem, intend to run long long coz full sync oil are designed to run to 15K.

quote an example to some Honda cars I know pple buy from PI, they start using full sync oil immediately.

quote another example Daihatsu car service frequency is 15K

to me mineral oil not bad, but too regular service frequency burns pocket, when I mean the mineral oil is the ones come from japan when your car ships with it. the mineral oil TCM use makes your engine loose the feeling like the ******** kena jam

My next oil change is X-rev 5W30

I use both Mobil One 5w30 and Amsoil 5W30...both are as good to me...the smoothness can be felt espcially for my 1 yr old car ...I opt out of NMMP service, go out to service....... Freedom to see what they do to my car...

hi guys,

I'm going for my 5k servicing this week. confirm changing it to fully synthetic oil. i have gone thru mostly all the thread on engine oil. most pro i be trying out AMSoil.

But can anyone over help give me some advise which AMS oil series to use? below are the few that i have filter out and gonna to change. can advise me which is much better for our latio?

1. Amsoil XL Series Synthetic Motor Oil (XLF 5w30)
2. Amsoil 100% Synthetic Motor Oil (ASL 5w30 better or ATM 10w30???)
3. Amsoil Signature Series & S2000 Synthetic Motor Oil (SSO 0w30)

Can anyone over here give me some advise pls. kinda lost liao.. :crycry: :crycry:

Use mineral oil at 5,000km oil change and switch to synthetic oil only at 10,000km oil change.

Why waste the synthetic oil and change it at 5,000km interval?

nah..  :nonod: i prefer th change it to fully synthetic sooner to preserve engine condition. of cos if i change it at 5k, most pro my next servicing will be another 10k then servicing due ba.

so any advise now which engine oil is better for our latio??

1. Amsoil XL Series Synthetic Motor Oil (XLF 5w30)
2. Amsoil 100% Synthetic Motor Oil (ASL 5w30 better or ATM 10w30???)

cheers :bleh:

I heard that mineral oil allows the engine to break in faster.

Recommendations for major servicing which includes auto transmission oil change is at 20,000km intervals.

So are you going to renew your auto transmission oil change at 15,000km or 25,000km?
