Hi guys,

Just to know if TCM will void our car warranty if we sent for our normal car maintainance / servicing (change oil filter, engine oil, wheel rotation etc..)

My ride is currently 6 months old and going for the 15000km servicing soon. As you know TCM charge exceptionally high for their service fees, so not sure if my warranty will be void if i choose not to go back TCM,

Thanks guys for your advise.

It won't void your warranty, usually good to stick with TCM until warranty over, as any fault arises, just point finger to them saying they are the one who service my car, in case any problem with car, just go to them and tell them what the issue when servicing

I think regular servicing at non TCM workshops is fine as TCM charges are much higher.

Correct me if i am wrong, warranty may be void for that component / section if non-nissan parts are used.

don;t think so.  non nissan parts and accessories Like simota drop in air filter,  OEM air-con filter , Stainless steel air filter, spark bridge, e-stab, VS  , struct bars etc shd not void the warranty

cheers

Also depends how long you would like to keep your car. If you are those ppl change car once every 3 years, warranty is not really that important. If you intend to use for 10 years, then the car condition must be well kept (use original parts, stick to TCM servicing package, follow car manual etc) .

as long as no mods done to ur engine, agent will usually close one eye. If u still worried wat i can suggest is do alternate service wif them, dat means minor servicin eg. 30k,50k,70k with tcm 20k,40k,60k,80k at 3rd party workshop.

They will not void your warranty for getting servicing at 3 party workshop, but you never know if one they you encounter problems and you back to TCM, they will charge you for the replacement items as you did not sent you ride to TCM for regular servicing,.

They also can put blame on 3rd party workshop damage the items. you gotta LL liao

TC will not void warranty if you just do normal servicing at 3rd party workshop provided major components were in stock conditions (no mods or dismantled and fixed back).

I have stopped going to TC after the 10k free servicing. After that I had sent the car to TC because engine warning light came on. They changed the throttle chamber for me FOC. 2nd time I sent in because of some ******** noise and they changed the aircon compressor FOC. Also I had bought the SM2 horn from Autobacs and installed at Autosaver. One time the horn went dead after battery gone flat. Sent car to TC and they only charged me $1.07 for the cost of the fuse, labour etc FOC.

TC is not that ngiow lah, only their servicing packages are expensive nia.

not oni tcm is expensive, all the other agents r also expensive.. they like to come out with all the nonsense package A, B, C or 1,2,3 etc etc....

go outside workshop is more straight forward they juz change wat u tell them to change & u juz pay for wat u need and not wat u dun need.
