aircon cooling coil leaking.. help..!!

dear lations, does anyone know a trustable shop to change my air con cooling coil as mine is leaking. just went to TCM to check and 80% shld be aircon cooling coil as i realise air con not as cold as last time. TCM is $1200+.. but i understand outside can get arnd 500+.. anyone experience same prob before or know a trustable workshop do let me know.. thx in advance..

how you know is leaking ?

Hi,

You can try shell svc center , what they do is pump up the gas and tracer to see where is the actual leak. if the coil is leak the spare part + work man ship is around 800+ for original Coil.Alternative you can ask them for recon set.

How old is your car, mine is 4 years old. They said is quite common for our model that we have this problem

Those car that is coming to warranty end like in few month time, faster go sent to TCM for checks. They will replace it FOC with regard to aircon matter...dun wait even if there is no problem to your aircon. Go there just voice out your concern and let them get it replace... usually they already know air con tend to have problem when warranty abt to over. For my, I sent in just 1 month b4 warranty over and they replace my entire aircon unit FOC at TCM. Hope this advise do help..

Hi there,

do u guys send in ur rides to TCM for service regularly? If no, will they entertain the warranty claim on the a/c system?
once i drove into TCM regard a steering coupling issue, the SA sort of "warn" me that next time they wont entertain my claims if i do not service at TCM.
