How much do a brake pad and brake shoe usually cost?

I was told to change... so tot of asking around to make sure i am not being overcharged...

Did my at AS and they cost me $135/pair (front disc) and $125/pair (back drumb)

When do we need to change the rear brake drum's pad? I'm very afraid of those mechanics say "must change" but actually can still use it till the next servicing.

I did my at 60k km. I was there when the mechanics took out my old brake shoes and compare it with the new ones. Approx. only 20% left on the old brake shoes, hence i proceed to change it.

According to the guys at TC, they recommened to change it at 50k km.

Mine cost 135 for both the brake shoe and brake pads.. somehow i got this feeling that i am being overcharged..

i think for my next big servicing (80K), i will be going back to TCM..

That sounds like the pricing for original Nissan replacement stock.

I hope you were not given OEM stock.
