Fuel consumption = Very good. I am getting an average of 16km/litre.

Space = Personally, I feel that the interior of the car is very spacious.

Hi Bro, I went to TC & tested the Slyphy (1.5L). Its auto & specs wise, its almost same as Latio Premium. Leg space is longer than Latio.
Price wise, Latio is only S$00 cheaper. Given the small price differences, I would pick the Sylphy instead of a Latio now.

My fuel consumption is 11.5 km per litre - city driving 80%.

Good points - comfortable, spacious inside, good to drive, quiet & keyless, servicing quite cheap

No good pts - no power (expected for 1.5l), expensive compared to other similar range cars

Tyre pressure @ 260kpa for all 4

Dun forget, Latio Premium has CVT while 1.5 Sylphy is 4AT. Depending on your driving style n your taste, this could be a deal breaker... For me, i fell in love with the CVT after testing driving both so i chose the Latio.

Most likely driving habits / pattern (assuming no other mechanical troubles.) I have a 3+ yr old Latio and its does not even have any extras like volt stab, magnetizers etc... and still getting 14km/l.

If members here said stock Latio lack power, then Slyphy1.5 (60kg more) with same engine will be worst. If you can, go for 2.0L Slyphy, else Latio is better if you only comapre the two nissan model. FL latio pickup is better than pre FL latio. With some simple and legal mod most member here can accept the "new" pickup.

Ask what you want most. If it is Speed and Power then you should compare more model. Most people buy latio because of its space, smooth(gentle) Engine (less noise) and FC.

If you are have to buy 2nd hand car now, then no choise. $2 COE car owner is going to sell after 2~3 years also, you can expect their selling price is lower. every year you wait = >S$5000 of saving.

ya i agree on your statement...the FC all depend on your foot pattern on acceleration..it being 3.5 yrs after owning my latio..still good and strong and hope to get a good muffler to improve the pick up only. Other then that, I have no regret buying it.  My next car might still be Nissan if Vit M permit... :bleh:

Another con about Nissan is the aircon besides the power, find that not really cold and powerful as compared to Toyota. The rest am happy about it especially the keyless. So my next car keyless is my first priority.  :D

Bro

Maybe you should try to ask "Why should I NOT buy a Latio" answer you get will help you look at the car quite differently

Agreed! I sat in my colleague's altis, the aircon was really powerful man, at 26 degC was already cold, and also very silent at blower setting No 2 or 3, not like ours very noisy.

For the pro, I actually like latio's high profile seat, and of course the interior engine noise and comfort.
