I played & tested 1 time to see how far the car will go on reserve and if there is any other warning if there is no petrol.

My car was on low petrol and just then the ORANGE RESERVE light came on.  I drove into a petrol station and took out an empty 5 LITRES COOKING OIL BOTTLE (which I already washed and kept for standby - was supposed to throw the bottle away , but decided to keep it first.).  Purchased 5 litres of petrol and kept it tightly closed soe even if the bottle was to fall over, the petrol will not leak out.

I went into the petrol station and pumped 5 litres in the bottle and felt like a hero.  :yehyeh: So decided to play around.  With the orange light on, drove on and on and got until about 80 litres (at speed of 80 Kmh), until the car started to jerk and jerk and finally DIED...LOL.... was laughing out a lot (lucky nobody with me).  People driving around me were looking at me and thought I was really siow  :out: or something.  Took out the bottle & slowly poured the petrol in & went back to pump up full tank - FULL FULL.  not full only.  I always tell the pump attendants to overflow.. they will know.

Anyway, to make things short, 80 kilometres is the MAX you get when the ORANGE light comes on and NO RED LIGHT OR ANY OTHER WARNING.

So that is it.

BTW, my FC is about 10KM/L.  no complaints lah but the car is too good to give up.

I took my hat off for you doing this experience. 80km is almost from my house to Changi airport and back. Lol.

Hah hah hah.. really lah

Had a good laugh when that happened.  The car was jerking and jerking and finally it died...

I drove the car to the shoulder of the road came out and sat on the floor and was laughing like crazy...  :out:

Finally when I had finished laughing & was able to control myself, then I took out the 5 litre bottle of petrol and poured it into the car & drove back tot he petrol station.

Confirmed & tested.  BUT TO EACH & EVERY OTHER PERSON, DON'T TAKE A CHANCE BUT BEST TO TOP UP BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF PETROL AND YORU CAR STALLS.

Cheers.
