Newbie to Latio
« on: November 08, 2009, 11:01:13 AM »
Hi, I am interested to get a new Latio but not sure if to buy the normal one or premium one. What is the diff?

Can I ask why the price drop so much? Is it going to prase off this model soon?

no major differences in both price (+$1k) and car except for the CVT engine. main differences of premium model are:
. CVT engine
. add 2 tweeters at front pillars
. wood grain finishing
. better leather seats
. some interior lightings
. some other minor stuffs

if you like CVT new technology and comfort, then the $1k is worth paying for but be advised of the higher repair costs if it kaput. suggest you test drive both to decide.

$57k... premium model? that's good price... i bought my sedan premium for $59k (with side mirror signal indicators, alarm, solar film; tried asking for additional i-key but no luck).
then price dropped even before i collect my car. was told the drop is becoz TC dropped min COE bid/sub from $16k to $14k, my car was bought under $16k package.
then COE dropped to $16,747... think those who bought under $14k package also got COE...
loogie $2k even before driving... wtf, could have used the $2k on a good ICE setup :crycry:

Can I know what freebies u all get ?
gathering from friends n forum posts, some ideas of freebies to bargain for are...

. solar film
. side mirror with signal light
. alarm (integrated with i-key)
. spare i-key
. body kit (full or subsidised)
. side mirror auto-folding controller
. rust protection
. paintwork protection
. others on special arrangement with the SE

buyers will probably get only some but not all of what is asked for, unless your barginaing super duper 没马跑 ... but still quite impossible  :w00t:

i asked for items 1~5 and also to remove CD player for a discount... got items 1~3, body kit granted 50% subsidy but i decided to save the $$, i-key cannot give coz too expensive, CD player cannot remove for discount coz factory fitted  ::)

i was told car mat is standard item, dun ask also will be given.

when you book the car, was the list price $57.5k also?
apart from the freebies, usually can knock the price down by about $1+k.

list price was $60.5k when i book the car, bargained down to $59k (else i lagi bang balls) with the freebies. was told by a SE of another branch trying to close the deal that he can do better if i go to him, but then too late liow.

Hi, I am also sour for paying $2k more. I got the YOM2008 with OMV$20k plus for the sedan premium.
The Salesman try to sweeten me up by telling me TC rugi about $4k as the total car cost is $63k.
Then, he agreed to give me a Holux GPS out from his pocket.
