3yrs warranty up soon...What to look out for?
« on: December 20, 2009, 02:18:49 AM »
Hi there,

As per subject, I'm sending my car into TC soon for 'last' (within warranty) servicing. What should I look out for or any parts proned to wear and tear for replacement covered by warranty?

My car's mileage coming to 85000km. Previously on NPMP but last servicing just ended.

Thinking of servicing car outside after warranty over. So, this will be the last time I send to TC.

Thanks.

Hi,
Look out for engine mounting, aircon compressor, power window motor, alternator, shock suspension, battery (at discounted price).
U might want them to check yr brake (front & rear, replace if necessary),
spark plug (cheaper since u are doing the servicing)

I just over my warranty too in last Oct' 09, now also finding a good workshop outside for
my future servicing..Any recommendation.....??

For intermediate (as in TC's package B) 20k, 60k, 100k..... servicings and major (as in TC's package C) 40k, 80k, 120k...., I will go to Autosavers.

For minor (as in TC's package A) 30k, 50k, 70k, 90k..... servicings, I will go to other cheaper workshops or even in JB. This is because minor servicing mainly is to change engine oil and oil filter only. Can save, save. I'm using my own good and expensive engine oil.

Mayb u shd not look out, but complain of the "problems".. hehe...

Mine 2 major problems, aircond compressor + parts (changed twice) and battery (changed 3 times) within 4yrs (~163k).

For aircond, mayb u complain v noisy now, aircond not cold, if lucky, TC will change FOC for u.. :)

Batt they ll check when u park ur car near service counter.. so cannot siam.. hehe..
Simple...
