Title: Trunk Light
Post by: vinzlee on June 24, 2011, 10:23:05 AM
The trunk light is located within the boot compartment.  There is a white plastic cap size of 50 cents.  To open the plastic cap, there is a catch that keep the cap in place.  Peel the tip of the catch to unlock the cap.  Once cap unlock, the bulb can be removed by pulling/unplug straight downward.  Just for sharing.

Give me some time coz need good lighting to capture the image/details.  When I refer to the manual did not know how to open it until I used a screwdriver to pry it open and realised the correct way to open as per explained earlier.

ironkiat,
Wow didn't know there is LED bulb available, agreed that the current bulb is kinda dim.  If you manage to find LED bulb, please share with us....many thanks.

Uses the normal T10 bulbs, same as the pole lights.

This is how you access to the trunk light socket.

For brighter T10 bulb,  installer needs to watch out the loading for trunk light is 3.4 watts only, anything more may blow your fuse.

My apologies for bumping up such an old thread.

Could any bros please advise what is the connector for this trunk light?

I'm thinking of DIY changing it to LED hence need to know the corrector connector type. Festoon? BA9S or T10?

Thanks.

Hi bro, I bought my led boot compartment lights from here...
http://list.gmarket.com.sg/item/WHITE-LED-18SMD-AND-36SMD-TYPE/404319429

DIY and connected using the squeezy thing. Not sure what connection is that... but it comes with the squeezy thing and a T10 connector together with it...

After 4 mths of DIY its

Thanks bro for confirming the connector. That's known as festoon connector by the way.

Cheers.
