Title: very high rev at cold start

hi, recently i realise my engine at cold start has very high revs...
maybe up to 3K over rpm at cold start automatic...
never realise this before...
only last 1 or 2 weeks or so...
before this, 1 or 2 month ago.. engine check light comes up, but goes off after restarting engine..
but last nite engine cannot start.. only start after 10-15 cranks..
actual date and time line i not very sure..
but for sure engine cannot start immediately is last nite...

hope to get some advise..
1 month to 4 years old at 55k mileage...

Could be due to your spark plugs?

Faulty spark plug or connection.

Dear All,

i also have this problem when COLD start or 1st start on the day but after that it only maintain @ 2k rpm.

Dear all, couldn't stand it any more..
Sent my car to tan Chong bukit timah.
Fault code detected ( same no as my work shop )..
Kwek recommend change throttle assembly..
Diagnose cost 65..
Throttle body cost 14x..
Labor cost 74..
About 300.. Kwek was quite good guy..
Expedite my request on both my visit..
I made appt via Internet.. Late 4hrs on visit one..
On time 2nd visit..
My car stall 5 times one day..
Another day one time..
Cool start rpm 4k..
Idling 1.5k..
After changing throttle body..
Cool start 2-2.5k rpm.. Idle 1.5k but will drop to 1k..
Got to monitor.. Hope my English can be understood..
Need help or question pls feel free to ask..

If u don't apply brakes.. Idle 2k rpm can bring u up to 70km/hr on flat road..
Mine idle 1.5k rpm.. Fc super bad.. Finally now changed new throttle body..
Now monitoring..

My car nov 2007..
1 yr ago start infrequent symptoms..
Last month or so very frequent..
So no choice changed a throttle body as per tan Chong recommend..
