Title: Car paint touch up
Post by: cutelmo on October 28, 2011, 02:15:58 PM
Hi, anyone has done car paint touch-up at TC? How much would it cost?
Accidentally rub against the wall and cause a line of paint scrap off.
The car park exiting is very small hence, poor judgement when exiting.

DIY shop will sell paint pen about $15 ea, another solution is get the paint from TCM but the finishing will  definitely be different from work by painting workshop.

bro, do know that no matter how you touch up, it will never be the same as respraying, if not touch up properly, will make it more worse than the scratch.

you can,

1) respray(definitely higher cost)
2) touch up paint/pen(but exercise due care)
3) leave it if your heart can bear with it.

& TCM = Traditional Chinese Medicine,
haha, its Tan Chong Motor.

my wife scratched my left body kit at the front against the yellow kerb. Reprayed the entire. Happy for awhile, then later i scratched the right side. And its still there now. If you just got your car, just get used to it first before spending the money to spray ba. sometimes, the more careful you are, the more scratches you get.. Perhaps, the more careful you are, the more scratches you will discover. :P
I also have the paint pen. Used for a few times only. Just sharing. Cheers :)

A small part of metal can be seen, scare it will rust.  :crying:
Just wanna cove up with paint.

Actually those 'stickers' come up my mind. paint the area first, after that put sticker over it, but will be da** ugly. ;)

Hi Kelvin,

Is AMETHYST GRAY according to the website. I remove all the stain already.

Actually I use clear water to wash off the rain water (scare will rust), after that did some polishing on the area (to 'protect' the paint).

Anyone has any ideal if AutoSa*** have this paint for touch up?

i went to Autobacs yesterday, appears that their stock of touch up paint pens is very poor, only a few sitting in the pen rack. my used latio came with an empty bottle of nissan's touch up paint. is like those correction fluid bottle but the cap comes with a small brush, doesn anyone know where to buy that?

Your inbox is full.

WoOo  west side. Hardly going to west side, but working in north though. Btw, I'm staying in the east.
Btw, what type of paint you using? I mean marker or brush? Just wondering. What is the code of the paint? Or you can take pic of the product. Thanks.

Regards,
Adam
