I changed mine to Bridgestone Turanza GR90 185/65R15 at Chen Jin in Dec 2010 @ $125 per piece. Free lifetime rotation. AL Tyres quoted @$120 each then but no free rotation..
-
using hankook optimo k415, price is very affordable and it's plus point is, driving in wet weather, i feel the grip is really good. can't tell the diff between wet and dry.

-
no offence but i still think the best is stock.
recently changed to 17" federal 595 with aftermarket rims (used) and i hate them!
Am l'm looking for stock rims....!!!
-
Just changed to Dunlop ve302 stock size. Noise significantly reduced compared to stock tyres. Grip is adequate both wet and dry.
However, the ride is sluggish even with 240psi. Maybe they r heavy tyres. FC dropped to average 14km/l from 15km/l.
$110 per piece with 4 rotations.
-
continental tires got promotion now. i just changed to CPC2.

i am currently using Hankook K415 now..most prob will stay with the same...
one good thing abt Hankook is that there is only distributor in Sg, all outlets selling the same price...hence no fear abt kena carrot-choped.
further, a good tyre overall.

Hey ahjie, is your GR90 still good? Was chatting with the technician at tanchong and he mentioned that GR90 wears out very fast. Last like less than 2 yrs..
-
Heard from my friend too that Toyo is good too. Grip is good and tyres are quiet. I'm currently using Nexen N Blue. Grip is pretty good (probably because it's new) but pretty noisy :( :(

What is ideal KU31 size for our car? The closest it have is 195/55/15. Is that profile too low from the original 65?
-
Looking for Tyres too. I saw this website, http://www.tyrepac.com/Form/B2C/Home.aspx?type=TyreMakeOrModelSearch&make=Nissan&model=Latio&Year=2004-Present&source=Home.
Will go to Teo Hin at Katong area.

GR90 wear faster than GR80.
Mine was made in 2010, almost 2 years now and the about touching the triangle mark on the tire. Performance wise is good, I still prefer the old GR80 over this GR90.
Still looking for replacement.
which model you had give you bad experience, pls share.
These stock size tyre Good?

I rem stock tyre size for Latio shd be using Kumho Solus KH15 instead.
-
were thinking to change to Toyo C1S, quiet tyre as well, anyone using on latio?
-

i just checked.
This profile is too small for latio 15 inch.
Hence i think i got to give this up.
Either go back to Hankook K415 or Kumho KH31
-
decided to go with kumho KH31 eventually.
Currently my ride is on Nissan Stock 15-inch rim, on Hankook Optimo K415 185/65/R15.
Any problem if i change it to a KH31 195/60/R15?
Will it result in smaller tyre bulge which will result in less fuel-efficency?
thanks

I suggest that you upgrade your stock wheels to 16". The current 15" in my opinion is a big risk considering Latio's lightweight body and poor braking power. Better if you could actually upgrade both wheels and brake set. I had twice experienced poor braking and grip. Brake has poor response and the feel is not to my liking. Others may find it OK but not me. The thin width of the stock tires is also a disadvantage and a big risk. Its has very poor grip even in dry conditions. To tell the truth, the ABS is consider useless in my car. I was involved in an accident and rear ended a van. Did a hard braking and to my horror, the tires did not grip and yes i kissed the van's rear. I drove a Subaru before this and the braking feel was way different and yes Subaru's ABS does really is functional.
What i realized seconds before the hit, the brakes took sometime to respond and the grip of tires were absent. I literally went flying into the rear of the van. I was about a car distance away and was slowing down. Unfortunately the van in front stopped suddenly. This is just my observation but in my Subaru i had a similar incident before but in wet condition at NSH. I was running on 16' tires with ventilated disc rotor. The ABS kicked in and i could actually feel the Subaru judder. Not in the case in Latio though. I guess we have to factor in the weight of LAtio. Subaru was much heavier and contributes to the tires gripping better on the road. Latio somehow does not have that advantage.
I guess i could drive more carefully but when i realized Latio's lightweight body and puny tires and poor braking system, I just have to warn others of the risk and eventually this accident could actually be avoided. My observations maybe wrong but hey, i was behind the wheel and experience of driving different cars from Japanese to continental cars, i was sure that Latio has poor braking and grip. Plus it's lightweight body. To tell the truth, i had four people on board Latio and the tires can still skid under normal braking. That happened along BKE.
So i suggest if you wish to use Latio for a long time, upgrade to 16' wheel set with wider tires and better braking system. Yet again i maybe wrong in this but in my experience, it says Latio stock brake and wheel set is really a risk.
