Hi Bro/Sis,
Read articles and hear from friends that besides having a smoother and also a more responsive drive, V-Power can also help to clean/clear the car system. Wonder how often do you pump V-Power, especially for the cleaning/clearing the system?
Also, will it cause any harm to the car if we were to pump V-power all the way (other than having to pay more for petrol)? Some bros experience better FC with V-power. Hence, the better FC may sort of even out the extra cost of the petrol, plus it has the above 3 mentioned advantages. Worth considering?
Thanks for sharing.

hi!
how often??? hmm..... mayb whenever v-power got promotion lor :bleh:. or when u go to malaysia lor :devil2:. my car got different response every time i pump v-power. sometime gv good fc, smtime avg and smtime same as 95's fc. so i cant really conclude v-power gv better fc anot. the cleaning is the the additive added to it. and i dun think it will do harm to our precious ride.
as for better power, sometime will feel it and somweime not :confused1:. so to me really not very worth to pump v-power.

None, not worth the money for our Latio. :D

Hehe.. i think i m nuts.. cos for every 10th tank of 98.. i will pumped one tank v-power.. :out:
I know it is abit goonz lah.. but it makes me feel better knowing my car is drinking 1 bttle of chicken essence after 10 tanks of "normal" food.. wahahahahahah..
-
I heard that it is not recommended to continuously punmp V Power on a long term basis due to its strong detergents which may be harmful to the engine.
Alternate tanks of V Power in between 'normal' petrol would be enough, at the extreme.

Thanks to all for sharing. The views and experiences are rather diverse. Think will just continue to pump it once a month.

Normal 95RON petrol also has additives that cleanses the system, so in fact, 98RON or V Power is not necessary.
The benefits of 98RON and V Power are purely psychological for Latio's N.A. engine.

i read an article once there was a proper test done using additives on engines and all these fuel additives (aftermarket type) do not make a difference on new engines, but they do have an effect on old engines. am not sure if this applies to the additives in v-power, caltex, etc. but i believe it should be the same. so for me since it's a new car, 95 all the way. let the ECU stabilize on the same type of fuel.

Will pump V-Power everytime I go up north, but Esso 5000 back in SG.

Pump JB V Power
Pump SG 95

Pump JB V Power
Pump SG 95
Dun like MY's Esso F1, felt sluggish compared to VPower. Rumour said it'll help to "clean" engine and MY's petrol cheaper than ours, so no harm loh.
95 meet my needs and have the best FC so far.

Most cars' lifespan in Singapore are only 10 years and mileage maximum 200,000km.
Don't really need any engine additives or to pump designer petrol.
All nothing but marketing hypes.
-
as mentioned previously, fuel recommended for Latio HR15DE engine model is unleaded regular petrol of at least 91 octane (RON) (see manual, page 9-4)

Pump JB V Power
Pump SG 95
Yeah, that's what I practice too! :cool2:
