Hi HC,
He did not mention station discount 10%, maybe he include credit card discount like POSB Everyday Mastercard.
-
price drop sure good lah.. but hor.. think abt it.. crude is now less then 90 dollars per barrel... when it was hovering abt that price less year.. how much were we paying for petrol??? if my memeory servers me right.. i was paying abt ~$1.50/L for 95. think there's still a lot of meet in the price man...
-
S$1.70 for 95RON at US$90/barrel is still on the high side. :nonod:
When oil prices were at US$90/barrel last year, 95RON petrol prices were about S$1.50 after 10% discount.

95 at $1.8 after 5% discount ... 30cent per liter diff ... so If we pump 36L each time, we paid additional $10.8.

wat to do? still muz pump mah ::) at least its cheaper when crude oil price drops. unlike electricity rate, dong ba lek
-
why can't petrol stations just do away with all these discounts and offered based on the actual price? I really dun need all the loyalty points or whatever...it just goes to show that petrol stations are still making big bucks with some even offering up to 15% discounts...

Where got petrol station offer for 15% discount ? Usually is 3 to 5% only, the rest is "sponsor" by your credit card company.

Tat is why they are call commerical company and not charity house mah....need to find ways to entice consumer in order to make more money...haha...
-
LOL
some charity houses had also found ways to entice donors in order to make more money (and not necessarily for the charity houses)

True, true! :)
-
crude oil has tumbled to below US$80 per barrel. more price reduction on the way :devil2:
-
Yahoo ... stock open already at U$78.61. :D
Looking forward for electrical bills to go down. :yehyeh:
-
Earliest that electricity rates will go down is in January 2009 as prticing is based on future oil prices every quarter.
Very unfair to make users pay artificially inflated rates when oil prices are at an all time low.
-
Fuel price can drop coz of the Crude oil price drop...
But, do u thk electricity bill will be reducing? SIgh..................
-
Petrol price now drop to $1.846 from $1.896 for RON95

hmm actually >> when we pump rom 95 or ron 98 >> does the price diff alot????
For me, i use caltex as it is nearest to my house and Caltex Silver (ron 95) because it is the CHEAPEST.
When i pump full tank,e.g 38L, after looking at ron 95 and ron 98, i realised i save only $2.50 if i pump ron 95 (caltex silver) instead of ron 98
BUT with ron 95, i only get a milage of 11.5km/l niah... I am wondering, if i use ron 98 instead, will get i better mileage and SAVE more???
any comments or experience u have??
-
ultimately, it is the cost per km that is to be compared
ie 11.5 km/litre at S$1.846 per litre means that it cost you S$0.16/km using RON95
-
damn.. i pump 35L this morning..... :crying:
-
Damn, pumped yesterday, today dropped 5 cts again. :weep:
-
YES, dropped again. Luckily haven't pump yet... :yehyeh: :yehyeh:
-
seems like not everyone here knows, but at SPC upper thomson, jalan leban, and 2 other stations around the area, there's an additional site discount of 4% (SPCnU card members only) till end oct.
So in effect, 7% (SPCnU card) + 4% (bonus discount) + 4.4% (everyday card rebate) = 15.2%.
-
Hello,
How much now ah?
-
Hello
From http://www.petrolwatch.com.sg/
It shows

Cheaper ?
Now Crude Oil is at abt US$70 + -

Funny...I thought our electricity is generated using natural gas? So we are using oil to get electricity??
-
Fuel prices have dropped 50% from its peak but petrol prices have dropped only 15%. :nonod:

Of cos wat....gd chance to profit more mah...sometimes i was thinking...so wat if they increase the fuel price...u still need to pump and drive to work....if sell the car and take public transport also the same.....bus/train fare hike....taxi collect extra $0.30 for the increased in fuel prices....unless u walked everywhere....else...there is nothing much we can do abt it....
-
Can still buy electric bicycle.
-
Can still buy electric bicycle.
Electric bicycle will cause ur electricity bill, if charging type, to go up.....and with the recent electricity bill hike due to increase oil price....where's the diff??:bleh: :bleh: :bleh:
-
Funny...I thought our electricity is generated using natural gas? So we are using oil to get electricity??
yes..need oil to get gas...then use gas to get electricity...thats why till now still cannot
understand why oil price dropped but electricity price went up..cannot see the logic :devil2:

You vote in the best to be true owner of power company,
they decide the best option for you. What else to say?
accept the outcome, work till you die and remember to pay on time (both good/bad time).
