Been using GR80 for 2 years. Thinking of changing to K415.. Would need your feedback on this tyre compared to GR80 in particular of quietness...
-
I was a GR80 turned K415 user.
But too bad had to ditch it for RE001 as my dad wanted re001.
Initial comments is road holding goes up.
k415 being a performance tyre, compared to gr80 as a comfort touring tyre, it will sound a bit louder. But never mind man! the sound is good! ITS not blaring loud in ur face. Just a gentle hum which i really like.
This tyre cuts thru water like anything.
My mom drove the car on Bridgestone stock rubbers before the k415 and in rain, she will keep to max 70 plus.
Now in the rain, she's doing about 100 on CTE no problem. this tyre instills the confidence in the driver! Plus, having so many forummers using k415, im sure you won't go wrong!
Wads more, 32 FREAKING PERCENT OF DISCOUNT! WHERE TO FIND SEH? (:
MAI TU LIAOZ!!! :devil2: :devil2:

I just changed for 2 weeks, still monitoring.
Not as quiet as I hope. Better traction in wet is really good.
If not for the 32% discount, I may consider other tyre. Maybe Kumho or buy in Msia.

if you dun like it then next time change to other brands. If kumho is good then how come seems like very difficult to find in singapore? Buy in Malaysia doesnt mean their tires are good.... Big cars from malaysia are coming to singapore to change their tires but mid size cars are going to malaysia to change... Weird...

Hi,
Saw on (http://pitstop.oneshift.com/idb_items.php?ikw=&bid=63) that the average street price for Hankook K415 is 88 bucks. For the current promotion, is it 32% off 88 bucks?!

its $74 for the 185 65 15
and $81 for 195 60 15
both prices are below the average price u mentioned. Personally, ive not used the k415 b4, but seriously heard alot about its prowess in wet conditions.

Is there any tyre quiet & dry grip like GR80 and has wet grip & run thru water like K415?
If there is, it will be perfect and I would stick to it for any future tyre change :)
-
My tyres also going to botak soon, where is the recommended shop to change?

The offer is till August - but I think if you want to change, better do it soon.
What if the tyre you want is out of stock by July/August and new stock arrives September... :(

A staff from Stamford tyres said my tyres is due in a few months time, although it is still looks fine to me.
Anyway, I guess I will get it change within 2 mths.
Cheers

Stock size should be 185/60/R15.
Do I have to change my rims if i change the tyres to 195/60/R15? And is it recommended?
Cheers
ps. forgot to ask, is the price inclusive of workmanship?

Change tire is for safety reason mainly. What is your mileage? If below 50k km should be fine.

If after 4 years and my mileage is still 28K Km...should i change my tyres? Or i can it wait till e.g., 6 years at 40K km??

I went to check out Hankook tyres yesterday at Toh Guan Road East.
Gosh, I was impressed by the build quality and thread pattern of the tyres (then again, I believe all makes of new tyres will impress me anyway. lol)
The price after 32% discount :
K415 195/60R15 = $81/each
K415 185/60R15 = $74/each
i will change to 195 in about 2 weeks time. The 195 looks much wider than 185, although it is just 1 size away.
Oh, the guy who spoken to me was very friendly, very approachable and not pushy. He seems to be the leader of the group!
-
the guy u talk to is either da xiong or cheng... They wun hard push their tires.. Thats the plus point... if u change ur tires there u will know that ur rims are well taken care of.... try it to believe it... excellent service...

OK, got my tyres changed yesterday, using 195/60R15.
Here my observation :
Noise level : as good as Toyo tyres, no noticeable increased in noise, meaning, very quiet.
Grip level : do a few quick high speed turns, and oh boy, am surprised by the grip of these tyres, they take corner with ease and no feeling of letting go on gripping.
Wet road handling : not yet got chance to try out, please rain!
The feel good level is really high, worth trying out, and I did not regret!

Any comments for the noise level of K415 or V8 after 10k or 20k? Same or lower noise compared to stock J50?
Want to change tyres coz feel after 20k the stock tyre noise is getting louder. So I'm more concerned about the noise leve of Hankook tyres after 20k. Understand the new tyres are much quiet, but how about after 20k usage? Thanks.

my 205/50/ZR16 V8 have done more than 44k and the noise doesn't seems to be louder compare to when just install... Thats how I personally feel...

Thanks for the reply. Will go down to Toh Guan this sunday to change K415. Really missing the quietness when I first got my latio.
