Title: spring bumper retainer
Post by: bacillus on June 18, 2009, 12:42:28 AM
Hi Folks,

Is spring bumper retainer useful?

I saw in the autobacs adv saying it will help maintain the life of the absorber.

I got my rear spring with TCM..... Change to a new improve version so call. Much better than old spring.. It's free if it under warranty.

My Latio is already out of warranty when I converted it.
I converted it not b'cos of cost savings (fork out $4k upfront) but due to
curiosity and interest to know how the system work.

If u have the CNG it advisable to put the spring retarner....cause it help the absorber from worn out.

The new spring is a bit higher but with the 205/50/r16 tyre i think it comfy abitlah...... without the new spring with the tyre i have, the ride is very sercure and i feel the grip when connering but now not much of that feeling anymore unless the ride is in full load condition.

Maybe u can get aftermart spring coil or get from TCM, It abt. $150 per piece or pair.....Have to check with TCM. With the new spring i don't hit any curb any more.....feeling good...

The Momo steering wheel does not blend well with the Latio Premium interior.

Why remove the orig steering wheel and forgo the air bag?

Agreed with you on the stiffer/firmer ride and no more hit-curb/hump with full-load .... with my ride close to 3yrs, now front-spring seems a bit too soft (*diving feeling) over hump, so is there a stiffer front spring or i just need to get it replaced with original spring ??
