Malaysia delays VEP enforcement until next year

Malaysia will begin the enforcement of its Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) scheme only next year at the earliest, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said yesterday.

"We have delayed the enforcement of the VEP because there are some issues on the installation of the RFID at the vendor. The system itself was not able to cope with the numbers of cars and vehicles that were supposed to install the RFID," he told a news conference, referring to the radio frequency identification tag required for the VEP.

Let's see if it going to delay again.

I never bother to register for the reason why putting a Malaysia sticker on my car while I only go in once a year? Singapore doesn't require Malaysia car to put a sticker. It is not fair.

And I only go register when Malaysia side starts to turn away non-registered Singapore cars.

I didn't even register for it. Wait and see... and I only go in a few times a year so putting a sticker on the windscreen doesn't make sense to me.

Hi bro....ur problem solved already?

Hi Kelvin, thanks for asking. Nope, the problem should still be there. However, I took some counter-measures to prevent it from showing up. But of course, it is not ideal.

My car is due for servicing, any reasonable priced workshop to recommend?
The last workshop I went charged me so much for brake pad replacement...I also dunno what is a fair price.  I look on the internet and found this website [REMOVED BY ADMIN]
It claims to be able to provide quotes from different car workshops in singapore.
Anyone use before? Or any good car workshop in Ang Mo Kio
Can recommend?
